ARM Motorsports 135i 7" Intercooler FMIC

The ARM Motorsports 7" Stepped FMIC Intercooler delivers extreme cooling efficiency for BMW N54 and N55-powered 135i and 335i models. Designed for vehicles running high boost or turbo upgrades, this intercooler provides a significant performance improvement over both OEM and 5" units. With a total core volume of 805 cu in, it’s 89% larger than the factory intercooler and 30% larger than the ARM 5" version—offering exceptional airflow and charge-air cooling without excessive pressure drop.

Constructed with ultra-dense fin packs (18 fins per inch), the ARM 7" FMIC maximizes heat dissipation while maintaining strong flow characteristics. It measures 20 × 7 × 5.75 inches and uses a bar-and-plate design for consistent, repeatable performance. In testing, intake air temperatures (IAT) increased only 3°F during a 3rd-gear pull—95% cooler than the OEM intercooler under identical conditions.

The ARM 7" FMIC also features CNC-machined aluminum connectors engineered for either OEM intercooler hoses or ARM’s 3" hose upgrade, allowing a direct fit and reversible installation. The design requires no bumper removal but minor trimming of plastic behind the bumper for proper fitment.

Dyno-tested on a Stage 2+ BMW 335i (N54), the ARM 7" FMIC delivered average gains of 35 whp and 38 wtq over stock and an additional 10 whp/10 wtq compared to the 5" upgrade. This makes it the ideal choice for drivers demanding maximum cooling and reliable performance in both street and track conditions.
