ARM Motorsports 335i 7" Intercooler FMIC

The ARM Motorsports 7" Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) is the ultimate upgrade for BMW 135i and 335i models equipped with the N54 or N55 3.0L engine, especially for those running higher boost levels or turbo upgrades. With a massive 805 cubic inches of cooling capacity, the ARM 7" FMIC is nearly double the size of the OEM intercooler and 180 cubic inches larger than the ARM 5" FMIC. This upgrade offers significant improvements in cooling efficiency, making it ideal for high-performance setups. The advanced Ultra-Dense fin packs, featuring 18 fins per inch, provide superior cooling without the pressure loss associated with larger intercoolers.

During testing, the ARM 7" FMIC outperformed the OEM intercooler by 95%, keeping intake air temperatures (IATs) only 3°F higher during a 3rd gear datalog. In contrast, the OEM intercooler resulted in a 60°F increase in IATs. The increase in cooling efficiency leads to a significant power gain of up to +35whp and +38wtq over the OEM setup, with even further improvements over the ARM 5" FMIC.

The ARM 7" FMIC is designed for easy installation, using CAD-designed CNC aluminum connectors that allow you to use either the OEM intercooler hoses or the ARM FMIC Hose Upgrade for maximum airflow. The intercooler requires some trimming of the plastic behind the bumper but does not necessitate removal of the front bumper, making it a simple and reversible upgrade.
