The ARM Motorsports F3X FMIC Kit is a must-have upgrade for BMW F30, F32, F22, and F87 models with N20, N26, or N55 engines. The stock intercooler in the F3X platform becomes a bottleneck when boosting beyond stock levels, leading to high intake air temperatures (IATs) and reduced power. The ARM FMIC Kit is designed to combat these issues by offering a significantly larger intercooler core and optimized cooling performance.

The ARM F3X FMIC features a 120% larger frontal area and an ultra-dense 14 fins per inch external core, providing superior cooling efficiency. With a core size of 20x11x3" and a total volume of 660 cubic inches, this intercooler is 36% larger than the stock N55 intercooler, which has only 425 cubic inches. This increased size, combined with the larger frontal area, results in a 94% improvement in IAT cooling compared to the OEM intercooler, as shown in testing. During a 3rd gear run at 16psi of boost, the stock intercooler saw IATs rise by 33°F, while the ARM FMIC maintained a minimal 2°F increase under similar conditions, improving engine performance and preventing power loss.

The installation of the ARM F3X FMIC Kit is simple and does not require any cutting or trimming. It bolts directly into the original stock intercooler location, making it a fully reversible upgrade. The kit includes CNC connectors that work with both the stock intercooler piping and any upgraded intercooler piping designed to fit the stock location. The 6-layer reinforced silicone couplers ensure a secure, leak-free connection.

For those looking to improve airflow even further, the ARM F30 FMIC Hose Upgrade is available as an optional upgrade. This hose kit eliminates the need for the stock F30 intercooler connections and reduces the number of connections by up to 50%, providing a more efficient airflow path.
