ARM Motorsports F80 S55 Intake System

The ARM Motorsports S55 Intake System is engineered for one purpose—maximum performance. Designed specifically for the BMW S55 engine found in the F80 M3, F82/F83 M4, and F87 M2 Competition, this system eliminates airflow restrictions and supports even the most demanding high-power builds.

Featuring massive 3.5" inside-diameter intake runners, this is the largest induction system available for the S55 platform. Whether running stock turbos or high-output upgraded turbochargers, the ARM S55 Intake delivers increased airflow, reduced restriction, and improved throttle response. Built and tested on ARM’s own project F80 equipped with Pure Stage 2+ turbos, the intake has proven capable of supporting over 720whp and record-level acceleration, demonstrating its ability to outperform the factory system at every level.

Constructed from six-layer reinforced silicone, the intake maximizes available space under the hood—especially in the tight area between the strut brace and radiator. Each side of the system is uniquely shaped for optimal airflow. The passenger side provides a smooth, uninterrupted path from the large 3.5" filters to the turbo inlet, while the driver side intake maintains a full 3.5" internal diameter all the way to the turbo, exceeding the size of even upgraded aftermarket inlets.

Both intake runners are paired with precision-formed heat shields that capture fresh, cool air from the factory BMW air ducts while blocking radiant engine-bay heat. The shields seal tightly against the hood and engine-bay surfaces to ensure the intake receives the coldest possible airflow for consistent performance.

Mild fluctuating RPM on startup may occur but typically stabilizes within 15–30 seconds.
