The ARM Motorsports MK7 GLI Catted Downpipe is a key upgrade for enthusiasts wanting to maximize performance from their EA888 Gen 3 engine. The factory downpipe restricts flow with an extremely dense catalyst, creating unnecessary backpressure, delaying turbo spool, and forcing the turbocharger to work harder than necessary.

Replacing the OEM downpipe with the ARM MK7 GLI Catted Downpipe significantly increases exhaust flow, reduces turbo backpressure, and allows the turbo to reach boost faster. This upgrade delivers noticeable gains in power and torque while sharpening throttle response and enhancing the exhaust note.

The added exhaust efficiency also makes this downpipe essential for higher-boost applications. Most tuners require an upgraded downpipe for Stage 2 and Stage 2+ software, as the stock downpipe cannot safely support elevated boost targets over 25psi without stressing the turbocharger.

Constructed from TIG-welded T304 stainless steel, the ARM MK7 GLI Downpipe is built as a single-piece unit for maximum durability and leak-free performance. A CNC-machined v-band system allows seamless connection to either the included 2.5" reducer for the OEM cat-back or a straight 3" adapter for aftermarket exhausts. The downpipe includes a 200-cell high-flow catalyst, which reduces emissions and exhaust odors compared to catless systems.

A stainless steel flex section is integrated to relieve stress on the turbo during acceleration, braking, and cornering. With proper tuning, the downpipe can help the stock IS20 turbo achieve gains of up to 60whp and 105wtq.
