The ARM Motorsports FMIC Kit for the Volkswagen Jetta GLI MK7 delivers a significant performance increase by dramatically lowering intake air temperatures. Engineered for vehicles equipped with the 2.0L EA888 Gen 3 engine, this front mount design improves cooling efficiency by 74%, providing gains of up to 24whp and 26wtq. By placing the intercooler at the very front of the vehicle—where airflow is coolest—the system prevents heat soak commonly found with stock location intercoolers, especially on tuned MQB platform vehicles.

Unlike oversized intercoolers that increase lag, the ARM FMIC balances compact volume with maximum thermal efficiency. The bar-and-plate core measures 22 x 9 x 3.25 inches with a total volume of 644 cubic inches, only 28% larger than stock, yet capable of supporting up to 700 horsepower. High-density 20 FPI fin construction ensures rapid heat transfer even during sustained high-boost operation.

Installation is straightforward, requiring only front bumper removal with no coolant draining or radiator stack disassembly. MK7-specific brackets allow secure mounting without cutting or drilling. For vehicles running upgraded turbos, the optional Bi-Cooler Hose Upgrade enables use of both the FMIC and a stock-location intercooler for maximum charge-air cooling.
