ARM Motorsports MK7 GOLF 1.8T CATTED DOWNPIPE

The ARM Motorsports MK7 Golf 1.8T Catted Downpipe is designed to dramatically improve exhaust flow and unlock the full performance potential of the 1.8T Gen3 engine. The stock downpipe uses a dense, restrictive catalyst that increases backpressure, slows turbo spool, and limits the power your engine can produce. Upgrading to the ARM Catted Downpipe frees up this critical section of the exhaust tract, allowing your turbo to breathe more efficiently and improving both power and drivability.

By reducing backpressure, the ARM Downpipe delivers faster turbo spool, improved throttle response, and measurable increases in horsepower and torque. With tuning, gains of up to 40 whp and 74 wtq are achievable even on the stock IS12 turbocharger. This increased efficiency also supports the higher boost targets required for Stage 2 and above software calibrations.

Constructed from TIG-welded T304 stainless steel, the MK7 Golf 1.8T Downpipe features a single-piece design that eliminates the fitment issues, leaks, and rattles commonly found in multi-piece systems. A CNC-machined V-band connection ensures a secure, leak-free interface between the downpipe and the provided 60 mm reducer or 3-inch adapter—supporting both OEM and aftermarket exhaust systems.

A stainless-steel flex section is integrated to reduce strain on the turbocharger during aggressive driving, while laser-cut mounting brackets and CNC-machined prongs ensure perfect OEM fitment. The high-flow 200-cell catalyst provides improved flow while reducing the odors commonly associated with non-catalyst setups.
