The ARM Motorsports MQB Turbo Muffler Delete is designed to maximize turbo sound and airflow on the MQB 1.8T and 2.0T engines. The OEM turbo muffler uses internal venting to quiet the turbocharger, which restricts airflow and reduces the sharp, crisp turbo noises enthusiasts want to hear. By replacing the factory muffler with the ARM solid-body design, you eliminate these internal vents, resulting in a louder, cleaner, and more responsive turbo sound.
Engineered with a larger 52 mm inner diameter compared to the OEM’s 46 mm, the ARM Turbo Muffler Delete offers a noticeable increase in airflow and smoothness as air exits the turbocharger. This can improve throttle response and enhance spool sound without affecting drivability.
Constructed from high-quality T6061 aluminum, the unit is fully solid throughout—no internal baffles or vents—providing durability, heat resistance, and long-term reliability. Its 65 mm outside diameter requires an upgraded charge pipe or a silicone reducer for proper installation, ensuring a secure, leak-free interface.
Installation is fast, reversible, and requires no permanent modifications, making it a perfect upgrade for both stock and tuned MQB vehicles.
