The Vargas VTT S55 GC-MAX Twin Turbocharger Upgrade Kit represents the most advanced evolution of the proven VTT GC platform, engineered to deliver true four-digit horsepower capability while retaining full factory-location, bolt-on installation. Developed using extensive data from the GC and GC+ programs, GC-MAX redefines what is possible on the BMW S55 engine without sacrificing spool, drivability, or reliability.
GC-MAX turbochargers feature completely redesigned housings with significantly enlarged internal flow paths, optimized A/R sizing, and a maximized 2.5-inch inlet diameter. Compressor size is increased to 67mm, while the turbine housing is fully retooled to accept a 54mm G25-series turbine wheel. This turbine architecture, shared with VTT’s S58 and S63 GC+ platforms, delivers exceptionally low exhaust backpressure, rapid spool characteristics, and airflow capacity far beyond conventional designs of similar size.
This same turbine and compressor wheel architecture has already supported over 1000 wheel horsepower on other BMW platforms while maintaining factory-like response. On the S55 engine, GC-MAX provides a true bolt-on solution capable of reaching 1000WHP on a stock long block with proper fueling, supporting modifications, and professional calibration, all without converting to a single turbo system.
Each GC-MAX kit is sold with no core charge, allowing you to keep or resell your factory turbochargers. The system installs directly to factory oil lines, coolant lines, downpipes, and charge pipe connections, preserving OEM serviceability. Production units are designed for stock availability, and every set is backed by a 12-month unlimited-mileage warranty covering material and workmanship.
