The Vargas VTT N55 GC and GC+ Turbocharger Upgrades are engineered to dramatically increase the performance potential of BMW’s N55 engine while maintaining factory-like drivability and spool characteristics. Designed as direct replacements for the OEM turbocharger, these upgrades eliminate the need for core charges and avoid long rebuild lead times by utilizing all-new castings and internal components.

VTT’s proprietary design improvements address known limitations of the factory N55 turbocharger, including the restrictive inlet geometry, oiling structure within the bearing housing, and thrust bearing durability. Each turbocharger is produced using OE-quality castings and precision-machined components to ensure reliability under high boost and demanding operating conditions.

Both GC and GC+ variants feature a high-performance 9-blade Mar-M 246 turbine wheel with advanced aerodynamic profiling, paired with a 9-blade point-milled compressor wheel designed to maximize airflow while minimizing surge. The turbocharger connects directly to all factory oil lines, coolant lines, downpipe connections, and charge piping, making installation straightforward with proper supporting components.

Capable of supporting power levels up to approximately 700 wheel horsepower with appropriate fueling, tuning, and airflow upgrades, the VTT GC and GC+ turbos provide substantial performance gains on their own while offering significant headroom for future modifications. For best results, supporting upgrades such as intake, downpipe, intercooler, fueling enhancements, and professional tuning are strongly recommended.

Each turbocharger is sold outright with no core return required and is backed by a 12-month unlimited mileage warranty, ensuring peace of mind for both street and track-focused builds.
