ARM Motorsports VW MK6 GTI / GOLF R FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER

The ARM Motorsports Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) for the VW MK6 GTI and Golf R is designed to maximize cooling efficiency and performance for your 2.0T engine. Unlike OEM-style intercoolers, this is a true front mount setup that positions the intercooler at the front of the radiator stack, directly in the airflow path of the vehicle's front bumper. This optimal positioning allows the intercooler to be exposed to the coolest air possible, ensuring the biggest horsepower gains. By replacing the OEM intercooler entirely, this FMIC eliminates the need for a twin-cooler system. You can either leave the OEM intercooler disconnected or completely remove it with the optional ARM OEM Intercooler Delete Kit, which improves airflow through the radiator and reduces weight.

The ARM FMIC is specifically designed to cool the hot compressed air from the turbo, lowering intake air temperatures for better engine performance. Colder air is denser, meaning it contains more oxygen, which allows for more power to be generated in the engine. The ARM FMIC’s core size of 23.5" x 6.5" x 3" strikes the perfect balance between cooling efficiency and minimizing pressure drop, ensuring improved throttle response without causing excessive turbo lag.
